Khet Bachao Abhiyan awareness programme was organised by Team 9 of ICAR-AP Centre, Basar and ICAR-KVK West Siang at Bene village under West Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh on 12th June, 2026. Altogether 20 farmers (M:20) were present during the programme. The programme was conducted as part of the nationwide campaign aimed at creating awareness among farmers about sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices. During the programme, emphasis was given to the balanced and judicious use of fertilizers to maintain soil health and enhance crop productivity. Farmers were also sensitized about the importance of natural farming practices, green manuring, and vermicomposting as effective approaches for improving soil fertility, reducing dependence on chemical inputs, and ensuring long-term sustainability of farming systems.
